Oscar Albert Shelton was born February 2, 1936 in Pilot Point, Texas to Lee Roy Shelton and Minnie Inez Gary Shelton. Oscar died at his home with his family at his side on May 14, 2022. Oscar married his Sanger High School sweet heart Mary Cole Shelton on April 26, 1957. He and Mary celebrated their 65 ^th anniversary on April 26, 2022. Oscar graduated from Sanger High School in 1955, attended Cooke County College in Gainesville, TX and later attended an electric school in Dallas. He was very intelligent in many subjects. Oscar received his honorary discharge from the Army in 1962 and had honors rewarded to him as a Marksman. Oscar retired from Moore Business Forms in 1987 after 26 years of service and had a patent with Moore Business Forms for his invention of the Speedy Mailer Form. He served 60 years with the Masons and Scottish Rites with a 32 ^nd degree.

Oscar is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Rhonda Michelle King and husband Barry, son Christopher Oscar Shelton, three grandchildren, Chelsea Powell and husband Chris, Brice Wisener and wife Jamie, Dusty Shelton and wife Samantha. Seven great-grandchildren Jay Lan Hill, Eli Powell, Liam Powell, Zander Shelton, Brantley Shelton, Skylor Shelton, Hunter Wisener and Ashlynn Hurd. One sister Joella Judge, brother-in-law Bill Cole and wife Veva, and sister-in-law Sue Cole.

Oscar is preceded in death by his brother James Shelton, parents Lee Roy Shelton and Minnie Inez Shelton, several aunts and uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 17, 2022 from 5PM to 7PM. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday also at DeBerry's with interment to follow at Bolivar Cemetery in Bolivar, Texas. Services will be officiated by Robert Richard and Dickie Amyx and all music will be performed by his granddaughter, Chelsea Powell.
