Ouida Johnson 87, of Ponder passed away Friday October 16, 2015. Ouida was born March 16, 1928 to Calvin and Zula Morris in Slidell, Texas. She married Glenn Johnson on October 21, 1944 and had two children Glenda and Greg. Mrs. Johnson worked for the Denton County National Bank for over 20 years and was a member of the Lady Volunteers in Ponder, the Ladybugs Bible Study Group, and the First Baptist Church of Ponder.

She is preceded in death by her Parents Calvin and Zula Morris, her Husband Glenn Johnson, Sisters Lou Rigsby and Pansey Jones, Brothers Joe, Laverne, and Ray Morris. Ouida is survived by her Daughter Glenda Brooks and her Husband Robert of Ponder, Son Greg Johnson and his Wife Gaylynn of Ponder, Sister Carolyn Gillespie of Ponder, Sister Catherine Thompson of Ft. Worth, Sister Nita Tesdall of Lipan, Sister in Law Pat Morris of Ft. Worth, Grandson Eric Brooks and his Wife Kristie of Krum, Grandson Chad Brooks and his Wife Wendy of Aubrey, Granddaughter Nikki Johnson of Ponder, Grandson Kelsey Johnson of Lubbock, Great-Grandkids Parker Brooks, Payton Brooks, Preston Brooks, Colton Baird, Kaitlyn Baird, Garrett Brooks, Bailey Brooks, and many Neices and Nephews.


Visitation will be Sunday October 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the First Baptist Church in Ponder, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday October 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Ponder with internment immediately following at Eakins Cemetery in Ponder, Texas.
