IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pansy Rae
Giles
May 5, 1941 – January 12, 2024
Pansy Rae Giles passed away at her home in Decatur, Texas on Friday, January 12, 2024. She was born in Petersburg, Texas on May 5, 1941 to Clayton Johnson and Ruby Harris.
Pansy loved horses and farm life, but her true passion was seeing souls saved and seeing them serving the Lord. Her love for the Word of God drove her to help others to love the Word and help understand it better. She was saved on Christmas at the age of 21 and her and her twin put their battle boots on and set out to do the work of the Lord. She was a Sunday School teacher for the youth and adult class for many years. She bible studied with the famous Texas 7 escaped prisoners NOT knowing they were in any danger. There were countless souls saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. Her testimonies were powerful, and her prayers were mighty. She will be missed by many who have had the joy of her quick wit, her wonderful hugs, but mostly her anointed prayers over us.
Pansy is preceded in death by her husband Walter Gene Giles, her parents Ruby Lucille Fitzgerald, Clayton Johnson, her twin Patsy Mae Peek, and her son Gregory Doyle.
She is survived by her sisters Wanda Keen, Kathy Medlin, and Susie Bramwell. Her children Cheryl Morse, Linda Webb and her husband, Walter Giles Jr. and his wife, Becky Rhoudes and her husband, and Gena Anders and her husband. 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews, many friends and a host of souls serving the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church at 1PM, Friday, January 19, 2024. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Pansy will be laid to rest following the service at Anneville Cemetery.
