Obituary

Parker Stewart Taylor, 24, of Argyle, TX passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2023 after losing his battle with addiction. He was born in Portage, Michigan on October 2, 1998 to Aron and Sarah Taylor.

Parker spent most of his younger years in Flower Mound and moved to Argyle in 2013. He was a 2017 graduate of Argyle High School where he participated in football and powerlifting. Parker played football for all 4 years of high school, but it was safe to say that Parker was a much better powerlifter than football player – he was the second sophomore that Argyle ever had to qualify for regionals. Parker also spent countless hours at Big Ape Athletics training with his coach and mentor, Coach David Muns.

Parker loved being outdoors. He and his brother, Hunter, played numerous rounds of disc golf around the metroplex. He enjoyed several summers of sailing, fishing, and catching turtles at his grandparent's lake cottage at Lake George, IN. Parker knew all the best streets around town where he could be found longboarding for hours upon hours.

Parker was witty and told interesting "stories". He was a smooth talker who never met a stranger and loved to debate over anything and everything. Parker was a compassionate person, with a huge heart, and he had the most empathetic soul.

He is survived by his father and mother, Aron and Sarah Taylor of Argyle; sister, Madison Nowlin, and brother-in-law, Dillon Nowlin of Highland Village; brother, Hunter Taylor, and sister-in-law, Alexis Taylor of Denton; niece, Palmer Lew Nowlin; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his mischievous cat (who thinks he is a dog) Ford.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Meredith Elaine Taylor; grandparents, Stewart and Dianne Herring, Fred and Jean Taylor; and his beloved Uncle John Paul Smith – all of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Argyle United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nar-Anon or Argyle United Methodist Church Youth Ministry.

If Parker was here today, he would say to "Never once use Fentanyl. If one pill doesn't kill you, the cruel and punishing addiction to this drug will".

Parker is at peace now – he can put down the shovel.
