Patricia (Pat) Ann Esther, 75, of Denton, Texas, passed away with her family by her side on June 12, 2016 at Texas Presbyterian hospital of Denton. She was born on March 24, 1941 in Louisville, KY to William and Anna Fuchs.

Pat and Bob found each other in their younger years in Atlanta, Georgia. They married November 12, 1960 and maintained a loving marriage of 55 years. Pat was the love of Bob's life and he was always so very proud of her. She was his rock and they loved each other dearly.

Pat worked at UNT in student accounting for 15 years and absolutely loved her job. She loved working with the students and co-workers and talked about them constantly. Her job was her passion and she worked up until her illness began. It was very rare for her to miss a day of work. Her friends there will surely miss her.

She loved her children so much. She was a wonderful mother who was their safe haven through all of life's tough storms. She was a best friend to them and gave wonderful support to each of them.

Her grandchildren were so very special to her heart. She was so proud of each one's accomplishments and only wanted the best for them. Even her grandchildren that were miles away, she loved them all the same and thought of them every day of her life.
Her great-grandchildren were so very special to her as well. They made her laugh and smile and she asked about them all the time.

Pat is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Scott Esther, Sr.; daughter Laura Leigh Spencer; son Patrick Stephen Esther, all of Denton, Texas.
Pat has nine grandchildren - Scarlet (Spencer) Childers of Lantana; Ashley (Spencer) Buck of Aubrey; Misty Dooley of Denton; Teresa and Tracey Esther of Denton; Nicole Esther of Thornton, CO; Jessica, Andrew and Samantha Esther of Carmichael, CA.
Pat also has six great-grandchildren – Macy Nicole Childers; Christian Matthew Mann; Dane Mattison Buck; Landry Leigh Buck; Easton Wyatt Childers and Jaxon Robert Savage. Pat has 8 brothers and sisters - Charlie Fuchs of Atlantic Beach, FL; Billy Fuchs of Tucker, GA; Bob Fuchs of Bonaire, GA; Jo Ann Harris of Sunrise, FL; Meriann Rehorn of Smyrna, GA; Dan Fuchs of Winder, GA; John Fuchs of Winder, GA; and step-sister, Colleen Nugent Spoden of Grayslake, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Fuchs; her son Robert Scott Esther, Jr.

A Memorial service will be held for Pat on Monday, June 20th at DeBerry Funeral Home 2025 W. University, Drive; Denton, Texas 76201.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 and will conclude when the memorial service begins at 11:00. The service will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Dooley.
