Patricia Mary
St. John Pearce
November 1, 1928 – June 8, 2023
Patricia Mary St. John Pearce passed away peacefully in Lake Dallas, Texas on Thursday, June 8, 2023. She was born in Manhattan, New York to Burton and Winifred St. John on November 1, 1928. She worked for H.W. Baker Linen Company where she met her beloved husband, James Deats Pearce. He whisked her away to Dallas, Texas where they had six kids and built a family and community.
Pat's favorite times were spent with her family. Sitting on the back porch soaking up the sun while watching her grandchildren swim, weekend jaunts to the Moss Lake house and vacationing at Wrightsville Beach N.C. With a penchant for fashion, she was always impeccably dressed, exuding elegance and charm wherever she went. Pat loved having her hair done by Caroline, eating chocolate and reading. Pat was a devout Catholic serving as a eucharistic minister at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Denton. She was devoted to helping others and cherished her time volunteering at Denton State School and Meals on Wheels. Pat loved life and it was a life well lived!
Pat is survived by her loving daughters, Margaret Ann (Dee) Pearce, Patricia Gay Floyd and husband David, Laura St. John Baker and husband Hal, Caroline Pearce Drozd and husband Dean. Her grandchildren, Lauren Stovall and husband Emmet, Kate Pearce, Natalie Lowe and husband Ellis, William Floyd, Katie Fleharty and husband Phillip, and Dylan Drozd, surrounded her with love. She was also blessed by her great-grandchildren, Holladay and Corbett Stovall and Paxton and Pearce Lowe. She is preceded in death by her husband James Deats Pearce, parents Winifred and Burton St. John, sons John Pearce and David Pearce and grandchildren James Floyd, Pecos Pearce and Hoot Brown.
A funeral mass will be held at St. John Paul II Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Patricia will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
