Patricia Elaine Tilton, 73, of Denton, passed away on September 24th, 2024.

Elaine was an extremely kind & loving person. Elaine was beautiful inside & outside as well. Elaine, nicknamed "Lainey Bug" by her family, always put friends & family's needs before her own.

Elaine was born in Pampa, Texas, to Patricia Jean Traywick & Carroll Arden Neil. She was fun loving & mischievous. Elaine had two siblings, Michael & Phyllis Veronikas & was a big part in their upbringing. Both refer to her as their second mother, as she took such good care of them.

Elaine moved to Florida with her family, & always spoke of how much she loved the beach & Florida sunshine, specifically Key West. She eventually moved back to Texas & met the love of her life, Donnie Whitworth. She was an amazing mother & a woman of faith who attended mass every Sunday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She would often joke that Jesus loved everyone, but she was his favorite. Her sense pf humor & beautiful green eyes won over everyone she met.

Elaine was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Jean, & her father, Carroll.

She is survived by her "hon", Donnie Whitworth; his daughter, Stacy Saldana & family; his son, Brian Whitworth & family; her son, Dustin & wife, Jessica Tilton; her son, Shannon & wife, Merlie Tilton; her daughter, Melanie & her husband, Minton "Mitty" Spaulding; extended family & a host of friends.

The apple of her eye was her grandson, Dylan Spaulding, whom she cherished from the moment he was born.

She was an amazing woman, mother & grandmother, & will never be forgotten.

Funeral service for Patricia will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the chapel of Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
