Patsy Ruth Gilbert Cantelou, 90 years old, born December 14, 1935, to Rev. Earnest and Virgie Gilbert passed on June 19, 2026.

 She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Earnest and Virgie Gilbert, her son Larry Griffin, her sisters Helen Sanders and Mildred Litt and granddaughter Shannon Lidster.

 She is survived by her brother Max Gilbert, sister Bobby West, her daughters Donna Sanders, Dana Lidster and Alisa Brailey, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. 

She worked as a lineman at Peterbilt where she retired. She loved gardening and walking as well as her church and church family.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Patsy will be laid to rest at Jackson Cemetery immediately following the service.
