Patsy Ann Owens, 58, of Sanger passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at The Atrium in Corinth with her family by her side. She was born on March 9, 1956 in Denton, Texas to Joe Kennemer and Dean Lawson Schirmer.

Patsy is survived by her ex-husband and caregiver, Jerry Owens Sr.; one son, Jerry Owens Jr. and wife Karin Owens; one daughter, Shelli Owens Smith and husband Joshua Laningham; son-n-law, Tommy Smith; four grandchildren, Bailie, Torie, Breanna and Talon all of Sanger, Texas; father and step-mother, Joe and Shirley Kennemer of Denton, Texas; mother, Dean Lawson Schirmer of Denton, Texas; three sisters, Deania Redfearn and husband Wayne Redfearn of Garland, Texas; Nancy Hall of Valley View, Texas, and Penny Rice of Denton, Texas; two step-brothers and a step-sister, Mark, Charles and Jana, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives, and close friends.

Patsy loved spending time with her grandkids. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed every moment with her dog BooBoo Bear and cat Luke. She was passionate and enjoyed spending her time bowling on her weekly league with family and friends. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas. The funeral service will be on Monday March 2, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery in Argyle, Texas.
