Pedro Gamez, 83 of Denton passed away at his home on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Mr. Gamez was born on April 14, 1930 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Andres and Ines Gamez.


Mr. Gamez married his wife, Maria, in San Luis on July 27, 1949. Mr. Gamez worked at Acme Brick in Denton before his retirement.


Mr. Gamez is survived by his wife, Maria Gamez of Denton, three sons; Demetrio Gamez of Denton, Manuel Gamez of Denton and Jose Gamez of Denton. Mr. Gamez has eight Daughters; Ma. Cruz Delcastillo of Denton, Ma Cecilia Gamez of Denton, Susana Del Monte of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, Ma Faustina Lara of Bridgeport, Texas, Ma Esther Longoria of Denton, Bertha Alicia Gamez, Ma Aidee Puga and Dora Alicia Wences of Denton. Mr. Gamez has one sister, Isabel Gamez of San Luis Potosi, Mexico and brother, Tirso Gamez of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Mr. Gamez has thirty five grandchildren, thirty two Great Grandchildren and three Great-Great grandchildren.


Mr. Gamez was preceded in death by his parents, Adres and Ines Gamez and brother, Jose Lucas Gamez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 6-8 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm with Popo Gonzales officiating at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Denton on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. with Father Kohi officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
