Peggy Bruce Kelly passed away peacefully July 4, 2024 in Waxahachie, TX at the age of 90. She was born in Crossroads and grew up in Aubrey where she met the love of her life, Buddy Bruce, and they married in 1952, and were married for 47 years. Peggy was the secretary at the Denton Lab School in the 50's and was beloved to all the children who went to school there. She later worked at the Dept. Of Agriculture for the Federal Government and later retired from FEMA at the age of 60. She and Buddy raised two daughters, Kelli and Shelli, and their home was filled with love, laughter and lots of music.

Peggy was funny, smart, a talented writer,  and she spoiled every single person who came into her home. She was known as Peggy, Mom and Aunt Bud to those who knew and loved her. Her smile lit up the room and her passing has left a big hole in our lives. She is survived by her daughters Kelli Workman (Bob), Shelli Ford (Darin), nieces and nephews and many others who claim her as their own.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 8 5:00-7:00 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Her service will be held Tuesday, July 9 at 10:00 am at the Oak Grove Methodist Church in Crossroads.
