Peggy Joyce
Meaders
December 26, 1944 – February 12, 2020
On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, Peggy Joyce Meaders, a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, passed away gracefully while surrounded by her family at the age of 75, in Lewisville, Texas.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering on Saturday February 22, 2020 at 2:00pm at Bill DeBerry Funeral Home, 2025 West University Dr. Denton, Texas 76201 Visitation will be held prior to service from 1:00-2:00pm
Peggy was born December 26, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Gene Alvin Brown and Mary Irene Grider. She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved back to Texas at the age of 18. She was an ethical, committed, loyal employee of Safran Electrical and Power (formally known as Boeing), a European leader in aeronautical systems. She mastered her talent in wire harnessing and was in part responsible for meeting the challenges of safety and reliability on aircraft. She labored with passion and lived to serve people. She was an avid member of the union where she relied upon her core values to always stay true and fair in representing and managing the rights and obligations of union members.
One thing that defines us as human beings is our ability to think, and more than that, -to think creatively and even more than that to create, and Peggy was creative! She was a crafter, a gambler in life and a BIG dreamer....of winning the lottery. . She was an avid reader and especially loved anything James Patterson wrote. She was blessed by so many wonderful experiences as she so loved to travel.
She loved her children unconditionally and her greatest love was being with her grandchildren. She was radiant, kind hearted, and gentle. She cherished her friends and brought so much joy to everyone who surrounded her. She gave us courage, hope, and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She would take every opportunity to tell you how beautiful you are. She always made it her mission to let you know you were loved.
Grace was in all her steps. Peggy was love to her family and friends and when love is the base of something, it is a masterpiece. That is what she is! The masterpiece of her Creator. Her legacy will live forever as she has left an indelible imprint on our hearts.
She is on a wonderous journey to reap all of God's promises. She lived a good and blessed life with dignity. The happiness and joy she brought to all of us will live in her memory.
She is the loving and devoted mother to her daughter Sheri and son-in-law Alex Chavarria, her son, Jeff Goin, daughter-in-law Carrie Goin: the adored Nana to Granddaughters Bailey Payne, Madison Goin and Carsyn Goin and grandsons Gates Goin and Ethan Chavarria. Dear sister to Mike Brown and his wife Kathy, Tommy Brown, Jerry Brown and Ernie Brown.
Peggy was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Brown, her parents Gene and Mary Brown, her cherished son Robert Goin and her beloved husband David Meaders.
