Peggy Frances Yarbrough passed away in Denton, Texas on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born in Palatka, Florida on May 29, 1927, to Lula and Augustus Poppell. She was 96 years old. Peggy enjoyed raising her children, family gatherings and laughter. She will always be remembered by her joyful nature and polished appearance.

She is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Shortino, Linda Shaw and Deeann Kan. In addition, five grandchildren; Shawn Cagle, Slade Cagle, Jennie Taylor, Trinity Kan and Pierce Kan as well as three great grandchildren, Cayden Cagle, Emerson Cagle and Addalyn Cagle.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dillard (Dee) Yarbrough, her son Don Edwin Yarbrough and her great granddaughter Jade Camron Cagle.

Funeral services will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, with a visitation to begin at 9:30 AM. Peggy will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park following the service.
