Perman Albert Smith, 87, of Krugerville passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 in Pilot Point. He was born August 11, 1927 in Aubrey to Ernest A. and Bertha Mae Byrom Smith. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He married Geneva Hampton on September 25, 1948 in Waxahachie, Texas. He served as a Deacon for 20 years at First Baptist Church of Krugerville. Perman was a devoted Christian that dearly loved his family and friends. He had retired from LTV after 30 years of service.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Krugerville prior to the service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matthew King, Zeke Sparkman, Kyle Sparkman; friends, Albert Morrow, Brian Blalock, and Kyle Blalock. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Krugerville, Ron Johnson, Tommy Sanders, Dan Brockmole, Sam Redfearn, Jr., John McCray, Billy Joe Hampton and Steve Stanley.
Perman is survived by his wife Geneva Smith of Krugerville; daughters, Donna King and husband Gaylon of Krugerville and Brenda Sparkman and husband Curtis of Aubrey; sister, Laura Wilson of Denton; 4 grandchildren, Angel Buxton, Matthew King, Zeke Sparkman and Kyle Sparkman and 5 great grandchildren, Michelle Buxton, Noah King, Joshua King, Hope King and Mason Sparkman.
