Obituary

Phillip Angel Allen, age 39, resident of Larkspur, Douglas County, Colorado, passed away on June 17, 2025. Born on June 6, 1986, in Miami, Florida, Phil spent much of his childhood growing up in Puerto Rico, where his bold spirit and fierce independence first emerged. Phillip served his country proudly and with honor in the United States Army National Guard and later brought that same work ethic and charisma to a career in the restaurant industry.

Phillip lived life on his own terms: wild, fearless, and unapologetically himself. He never let rules or expectations define him. He spoke his mind, acted on impulse, and loved with an open heart. His raw energy and unfiltered authenticity left an unforgettable mark on everyone he encountered.

He is survived by his wife, Chloe M. Allen (née Wolf), and his four beloved children: Kamila Allen-Olmo (19), Damian Allen Nieves (16), Jason Allen Nieves (14), and Forrest Allen (3). He also leaves behind his loving mother, Nilda Rivera; eight siblings, Heather Boylan, Lou Eytalis (née Allen), Arthur Allen, Charles Allen, David Allen, Rosa Allen (Roy Barnard), Jonathan Allen (Natalie), and Stephen Allen; numerous nieces and nephews who adored him; and a grandniece who brought him so much joy. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Brigham Allen (2017), and his sister, Cristina Maria Allen (2012).

Phillip will be remembered for his quick wit, fierce loyalty, and the way he made us laugh one minute and challenged us the next. He had a genuine gift for connecting with people, from coworkers and friends to strangers alike.

His life may have been too short, but it was intensely lived, and that fire will inspire us forever.

A memorial service will be held on July 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at:

Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201

Followed by a procession to a military honors burial ceremony at:
