Phyllis Ann Garvin, 74, a Denton resident of 45 years (formerly of Louisville, KY ) passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 in Louisville , Kentucky.  She was born on July 2 ^nd , 1946 in Louisville . She retired from the Texas Department of Human Services after many years.  To keep her busy during retirement, she worked at Gage and Associates until 2019. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 33 years, James Garvin; parents, Charlotte & Ernest Orr; and siblings, Bobby Webb, Diane Cook, Gary Orr and Ernie Orr.

Phyllis is survived by her two children, Jay Garvin (Nell) and Roxanne Boehm (Terry); grandchildren, Luke Boehm and Trish Boehm; five great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck Orr (Mimi); Goddaughter, Felicia Walker (John) and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was also the Fairy Godmother to Alyssa and Hayden Walker.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
