Phyllis Powell McIntyre, of Denton, Texas passed away on November 14, 2015 in Denton, Texas.

Phyllis was born on June 1, 1929 in Little Silver, New Jersey to Archibald Wright and Matilda (Ryser) Wright.

She married Col. W.J. McIntyre Jr. on July 15, 1950 in New Jersey. She attended Dallas Nursing College and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Little Silver, New Jersey. She also volunteered at Hearts for Homes.

She is survived by four sons, William Joseph McIntyre III of Graham, Texas, Kevin John McIntyre of Kaufman, Texas, Timothy Wright McIntyre of Bridgeport, Texas and Patrick Brian McIntyre of Ft. Worth, Texas, daughter, Kathy Kammer of Denton, Texas, sister Nancy Foster of Ocean Port, New Jersey and cousins; Marjorie Durdack, New Jersey, Marion Phillips, New Jersey, Phillip Ryser, New Jersey, Elizabeth Koster, New Jersey, Linda Herff, Alaska and Rudy Mayer, New Jersey
She is preceded in death by her former husband, Col. W.J. McIntyre Jr. and her mother and father.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2025 W. University Dr. in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:30 AM.
