Rachel Gonzalez, 62, of Krum, Texas went with God on Friday, August 16, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1957 in Kingsville, Texas to Ramon and Hortencia Salinas. Rachel married her high school sweetheart George Gonzalez on March 21, 1975 in Kingsville. They were 17 years young when they wed and vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. Their love story was her favorite and one she was very proud of. She was happiest when she was spending quality time with her husband, enjoying dinner and a movie. She spent most of her days spending time with her grandchildren and her puppy, Ginger. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed doing for others in any way she could. All who knew her, knew how loving, caring, and giving she was. She had a heart of gold and love like no other. She was welcomed to Heaven by her father Ramon Salinas, mother Hortencia Galvan Salinas, her stepmother Gloria Salinas, father-in-law Gregorio Gonzalez, and mother-in-law Leonor Gonzalez.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday also at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum.

Rachel is survived by her husband of 44 years George Gonzalez, daughters Melissa Ledesma married to Vicente Ledesma and Erika Sanchez married to Jorge Sanchez, and sons George Gonzalez Jr married to Betty Gonzalez and Mark Gonzalez married to Imelda Gonzalez. She had 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her siblings Leonel Salinas married to Linda Salinas, Ramon Salinas married to RoseAnn Salinas, Esmeralda Salinas Ledesma, Raymond Salinas married to Veronica Salinas, Justo Salinas married to Letty Salinas, and Velma Vasquez.
