Ramona Catherine Hope, 88 of Denton passed away on July 9, 2017 in Denton, Texas. She was born on September 7, 1928 in Dallas, Texas to James and Sue Ella (Mitchell) Hope.

She was retired from Southwestern Bell where she was recognized for having 39 years without an absence or being late for work. She enjoyed her work and was very proud to work there. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Irving, Texas where she was involved in the Legion of Mary.  She was totally dedicated to her faith.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Hope and wife Veronica of Denton and many nieces and nephews.  She dearly loved her family and was very loyal to her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters; Winona Hope, Louise Hope, Marie Johnson, Lorraine Kaercher and Laverne Morrow, and brothers; John Hope and James Hope, who was killed on the first day of the attack on Iwo Jima, February 19, 1945, and later reburied at Calvary Hill in Dallas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel of Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
