Raymond Earl Timmons, 78, of Krum, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was born on July 14, 1936 in Longview, Texas to EB and Reathel Timmons. Raymond started working when he was 13 years old for Eagle Printing Co. in Longview, Texas sweeping the floors while learning the printing trade. He worked there until he was 18 years old.

He joined the Army when he was 18 years old and served 4 years (1955 to 1959). He spent a little over 3 years in Karlsruhe, Germany as a dental hygienist. After Army days, he went back to printing and was Superintendent of two different printing plants. After some years, he left the printing industry and went into construction. Raymond was very gifted in Mechanical abilities.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:30 am at Jackson Cemetery in Krum with Rev. Ed Gatlin officiating.

Raymond is survived by his wife Nancy; two daughters, Trena Boyd and husband Grover, and Teresa Anton; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Patsy Cofer and husband Junior of Gilmer, Texas; two brothers, Tommy and Gerald Timmons of East Texas; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
