Obituary
Renate Gertrud Schwalm, neé Streichhahn, was born in Berlin on April 10, 1937. She died in Denton Texas, on October 26 2013 after a short illness.
After moving to West Germany, she got married in 1962 and raised her family, residing in many places around the world. She is survived by her husband Fritz E Schwalm and their children Anneliese, Fritz U. with Lynn Luck and their children Fritz and Gioia, and Karen Krasowski with Ken Krasowski.
Renate was a fun loving, giving and caring person. She volunteered in numerous agencies in Denton. Her friends knew her as a wonderful cook and gracious hostess. She enjoyed traveling, card games, and gardening (also as member of the Garden Culture Club of Denton). Foremost, she loved her family and was blessed to see her grandchildren grow.
She has lived in Denton for 30 years and will be missed by many.
