Reuben Dale Boyer, 74, of Sanger went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 31, 1941 in Fort Smith, AR to Roland H. and Lilly Boyer. Dale married his sweetheart Linda Fleming in St. Petersburg, FL. on March 16, 1963.
He served in the US Air Force in the early 60's during the Vietnam War and Cuban Crisis. He retired from Texas Instruments/Raytheon after over 30 years of employment.
He loved to read, camping, hiking, horseback riding. He enjoyed volunteer service as a member of the Cedar Park Volunteer Fire Department in the 1970's, 80's. He was a very active member of his church. Since 2005 he volunteered through Epiphany Ministries telling the incarcerated youth of Gainesville State School about God's Love, Jesus, His Son and the Bible.
Dale is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Boyer of Sanger, one son, Roland Boyer and wife Susanna of Hutto, two daughters, Jessica Bullock and husband John of Sanger, Rachel Sauer and husband Todd of Hurst, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on September 9, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held on September 10 , 2016 starting at 2:00 P.M. at Blue Mound United Methodist Church 8421 N. Interstate 35, Denton, Texas (Midway between Denton and Sanger Exit 473), with burial to follow at Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, TX.
