Claborn Stafford, affectionately known as "Rex," passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, in Denton, Texas. Born on May 23, 1935, in Dill City, Oklahoma, Rex lived a full and meaningful life marked by the values of family, faith, and community.
His journey began in the small town of Dill City, where he was born to William and Lena Stafford. Rex’s parents, who preceded him in death, instilled in him a strong foundation that guided him throughout his life. Those who knew Rex often spoke of his steadfast character and his quiet strength, qualities that endeared him to many.
Rex’s memory will be lovingly cherished by his daughter, Brenda Tudor, who remains a devoted presence in his life. Brenda’s care and support during his final days were a testament to the close bond they shared.
A visitation to honor Rex’s life will take place on March 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Singing Oaks Church of Christ, located at 101 Cardinal Drive, Denton, Texas 76209. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Park. These gatherings will provide friends and family the opportunity to come together, share memories, and pay their respects.
Rex’s passing marks the end of a significant chapter in a life well lived. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who loved him and in the quiet moments of reflection that his memory inspires.
