Richard Gene Baker, Jr. passed away in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on February 6, 1969, to Richard Gene Baker and Lois Jean Baker. Richard is survived by his mother Jean Baker, brother James Baker, sister Lisa Varela, daughter, two nieces Ashley and Amber Varela and great nephew Ashton Grayson. Richard is also survived by several cousins, aunts, and uncles. Richard enjoyed reading, hunting and being with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, Jack and Helen Ingram, Grady and Mildred Baker and James Boatwright. He also precedes many aunts and uncles.

Richard graduated from Lewisville High School then went into the Air Force where he did his basic training at Lakeland AFB. He was transferred to Scotts AFB where he served his country in Desert Storm.

Richard worked for Sherwin Williams as a wholesale product specialist and a third keyholder. He worked at the branch for twelve years but worked for Sherwin Williams a total of fifteen years.

Funeral services will be held at Bill DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton Texas. Richard will be laid to rest at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
