Richard Guy "Ricky" Brighton, age 41, of Krugerville, Texas passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Denver, Colorado to Tina and Troy Hampton on September 11, 1980.
He attended schools in Aubrey. While growing up he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on trucks and tractors. Ricky met his wife, Heather while attending school in Aubrey. After an 18-year engagement, they married on April 13, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada and travelled through the Southwest states and California on their honeymoon.
He was employed in the construction industry as a loader operator. He was a country boy who spent his time hunting, fishing, and fixing things.
Ricky is preceded in death by his dad, Troy Hampton, grandparents, Maxine Chamberlain, Donald Hampton Sr, and Earl Deeds.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Brighton, daughter, Callie Brighton and future grandson, "Bean", sons, Billy Powell and Clayton Brighton, mother, Tina Hampton, all of Aubrey, Texas, sisters, Chrystal Lufton of Aubrey, Texas, Chastity Bryan of Guthrie, Oklahoma, brothers, Jeremy Young and wife, Jenna, of College Station, Texas and Jason Young and wife, Sabrina of Norman, Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a plethora of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Krugerville, 6021 US 377, Aubrey, Texas, on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. The funeral services will also be at the church on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Immediately following the service, he will be interred at Perryman Cemetery, 2 miles west of town on FM 455 in Forestburg, Texas.
