Richard James Hill or "Papa" passed away in Denton, Texas on Sunday, March 20,2022. He was born in Bakersfield, CA to Richard and Faye Hill on September 9 ^th , 1941. "RJ" enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and clients. Richard enjoyed socializing and dancing at the VFW. Richard also enjoyed going to the casinos and listening to live music.  He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Faye Hill, as well as his brother Ralph. RJ is survived by his wife Jimmye Hill, his children Rick Hill, Sherry Herrmann, Michael Sims, Michelle Church, Marion Wilson, and Misti De LaSierra. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren Seth Herrmann, Ben Herrmann, Alex Herrmann, Jessica De LaSierra, Madisen Church, Mason Church, Alyssa De LaSierra, Kelsie Wilson, Alex Wilson, Rachel Sims, Lauren Sims and a great-grandfather to Chloe and Olivia Herrmann. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 27 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization in Denton, Texas at 2:00pm. 909 Sunset St, Denton, Tx 76201.
