Richard Lee Penny, 76 of Justin passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Presbyterian hospital in Denton, Texas. He was born on September 2, 1941 in DeKalb, TX to Robert and Ida Francis Penny. Richard and Elizabeth Jean Bumpass married on March 11, 1978 in Carrollton, Texas.  Richard was retired from Ford Motor Company after 28 years of employment and enjoyed his hobbies and time spent with family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Liz Penny of Justin, daughter, Tobey Penny Clayton of Austin, four sons, Robert Glen Penny of Ponder, Tom Penny of Royce City, Dyron Shannon Bynum of Denton, Shane Starnes of Sanger, sister, Doris Gentry of Denton, second mother,  Johnnie Skipworth of Carrollton and six grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Jackson Cemetery in Krum. Pallbearers are Robby Penny, Tommy Penny, Dyron Bynum, Dwayne Penny, Shane Starnes and Michael Rosier.
