Richard
Steinman
October 3, 1929 – June 3, 2018
Richard Steinman, 88, of Denton passed away peacefully in his home on June 3, 2018. He grew up in Michigan and at the young age of 23 decided to serve his country as a proud member of the US Army, stationed in Germany. True to his roots, he made his way back to Michigan, starting his career with General Motors and eventually moving the family to Texas where he worked for GM until the day he retired.
Richard was an avid golfer, often finding himself marshalling many a golf course. But Richard's true passion was family, nothing took the place of spending time together while hitting the road in his Winnebago and seeing where it would lead us next. He was a happy and proud dad, but being a grandpa was arguably never considered a close 2nd in his eyes.
Richard is survived by his 4 children, ,7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Kurt Steinman of Denton, TX, his wife Laurie and their 2 children Shawn and Shannon. Scott Steinman of Miami, FL, and his 2 children David and Michaela. Lynn Mahnfeldt of Boston, MA, her husband Mark, and their 2 children Jewel and Delilah. Rick Steinman of Grapevine, TX, and his daughter Erin, and his great grandchildren Jordyn and Joshua are the children of Shawn Massey and his wife Ruby.
A family memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10: A.M. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
