Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and Uncle Rick Reid passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at the age of 75 in Denton, Texas. He was born in Long Beach, CA to Alfred and Wilhelmina Reid on November 29, 1945. Rick married Margaret (Maggie) Egan on October 3, 1970 in Dumont, New Jersey. They had two sons, Matthew and Patrick. He joined the army to serve his country in May of 1964. In November of 1967 he was Honorably discharged and joined the Air Force where he served until August 1, 1985 when he retired as  an E-7 Master Sergeant.  After his military service he joined MCI/ Worldcom/ Verizon until his final retirement in June of 2009. After 21 plus years of military service, living abroad and traveling the Country; he eventually moved his family to Texas where they called home. Rick loved woodworking, collecting things, emailing you all through his disto list and loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents,  a brother Ronnie Reid, brother Robin"Bull" Reid, brother Terry "TR" Reid and brother Monty Reid.

Rick is survived by his wife Maggie of 50 years of Sanger, TX. A son Matthew Reid and wife Tammy of Krum, TX. Granddaughters Hannah Reid and Gracie Reid of Krum, TX. Granddaughter Britnee Warren of Gainesville, TX. Granddaughter and Grandson Baylee and Jacob Williams of Callisburg, TX and great grandsons Max and Mason Williams of Callisburg, TX. A son Patrick Reid and wife Alicia of Deland, Florida. Granddaughters Alex Sandoval and Parker Reid of Deland, Florida. Also surviving him are: sister Kari Reid of Buckley, WA, brother Al R. Reid of Bellingham, WA, brother Earl R. Reid and wife Wanda of Bellingham, WA, sister Mari Pulvermacher and husband Ed of Coquuille, OR  and sister in law Deborah Reid of Albany Oregon. Sister in law Toree Petersen Reid of Murfreesboro, TN. Nieces and Nephews: Walken and Audreanna Reid, Billy, Irene and Bobby Reid, Nathaniel, Ken, Joe and Mark Nelson, Tamika Thiery, Andria Reid-Caro, Naomi Reid- Harrison and Kora Reid- Harrison, Tiahna Reid, Emmy McKnight, Bryce Reid, Alyssa Nelson, Alex Nelson, Aaron Nelson, Anthony Nelson, Aislynn Nelson, Anuhea Nelson, Asher Nelson, Daniella Nelson, Hallie Nelson and Luke Nelson, Ayden Hamlin and Adriana Hamlin, Tayson Reid and Gabrielle Reid- Harrison and Jaxon Reid- Harrison.
