Rickie Wayne Cox, 62, was called home by the Lord on Saturday October 29, 2016 in Las Cruces, NM after a short illness. He was born in Denton, Texas on December 3, 1953 to Cecilia and Wayne Cox, the oldest of three sons.

Rickie was a loving and devoted husband, father and stepfather. He held degrees in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. He devoted many years of his career to servicing the U.S. Military facilities. Rickie loved his home and spent many enjoyable hours doing home improvement projects. He also spent many weekends cooking for the family and friends. Rickie enjoyed playing guitar, hunting, fishing and horseback riding. His final career position was Project Manager for (NASCO) Mirador.

Rickie leaves behind his wife, Gabriele Cox, his father, Wayne E. Cox, sons, Richard Cunningham, Scott Cunningham, Evan Cox, David Cox and Russell Cox.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Cecilia Ann Cox.

A Graveside service for the family and close friends will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Krum Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Krum Heritage Museum 150 W. McCart St. Krum, Texas 76249 in his honor.
