Ricky Ray Newton, 70, of Denton passed away on August 31, 2025.  He was born in Colorado City to Bobby Ray and Wanda Jean Rainwater Newton.  He graduated from Permian High School in Odessa and attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was married to Laura Anne Hair for 35 years, and was the owner and president of Newton Realty Group before retiring at the age of 60.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Glen Daniels will officiate

Rick is survived by his wife, Laura Newton of Denton, daughters, Jessica Newton of Mt Pleasant SC, and Lindsay DeLaRosa of Midland TX, sons, Jake Newton of Bedford TX, and Will Newton of Denton, sister, Rhonda Gattis of Lawrence KS, and brother Randy Newton of Orlando FL, and 4 grandchildren.
