Rita Diane Fasel, born in Irving Texas on April 17, 1971, had her last beer on Monday, June 25, 2018 at home. In Rita's world we were all family, there was no distinction from blood, in-laws, step, or friends. She loved everyone with an open heart. Rita was a woman who spoke her mind and always let you know what she thought. She was never shy with her opinion, no matter who you were. She was a "Helluva Lady" who loved her drink and damn anyone who kept her from it.

She was the wife of Michael "Mikey" Fasel, daughter of James and Joella Rasbury, Ronnie and Linda Shaw, and Rick "Pops" Fasel. Mother of Shelby, Kaly, Kendall, Paige and Brooke. Sister of Joe Edward Rasbury and Bill Ray Cobb. With an extended family of 9 brothers, 9 sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to count.

Rita served her country as an E-4 in the US Navy as an air traffic controller for 7 years in San Diego, CA. She earned multiple awards for exceptional service. She was a passionate fan of Nascar and the Washington Redskins.

Rita thrived on cooking lots of food for her large and extended family. Some of the family favorites were Spaghetti, Cheesy potatoes, Redneck eggrolls, Mac n cheese, Rita casserole, pancakes and her delicious Rum cake.

She was a member of the Weekend Warriors and University Ladies bowling leagues.  She will be remembered for her extensive vocabulary. She was proficient at knowing more curse words than most people learn in a lifetime.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30, 2018 starting at 9AM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Service will begin at 10:00 in the Chapel with he Rev. Glen Daniels Officiating.
