Rita Dean Harmon Hall
Rita Dean Harmon Hall was born on January 28, 1935, in Lakeview, Texas, to Mary Gertrude Harmon and Don Harmon. She was lovingly raised by her grandparents, Clara and Cartie Dunn, whose guidance and care helped shape the strong values she carried throughout her life.
Rita attended Lakeview High School, where she was active in basketball, formed many lifelong friendships, and graduated in 1952.
On February 14, 1953, Rita Harmon married Gayle D. Hall. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, hard work, and perseverance. They lived in Baytown, Texas until 1960, when they moved to Memphis, Texas, where they raised their family, including their daughter Kathy and sons Gary and Rodney, for more than twenty years. Over the years, Rita also lived in Denton, Grapevine, Euless, and North Richland Hills, Texas.
Rita believed deeply in family and remained devoted to those she loved throughout her life. She was a steady source of encouragement and support to her children and took great joy in the accomplishments and happiness of her family. She valued loyalty, strength, and personal responsibility and lived according to the convictions she held dear.
Known for her determination and strong spirit, Rita worked hard throughout her life and continued working full-time in the insurance industry from 2000 to 2013. She approached life with resilience, quiet dignity, and faith, relying upon her beliefs and inner strength through both the blessings and challenges of life.
Rita especially cherished holidays and family gatherings, with Christmas holding a particularly special place in her heart because of the closeness and togetherness it brought to those she loved.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by devotion to family, steadfast faith, and enduring strength.
