Obituary

Robert Dale Bartts, 78, of Lake Dallas passed away at his home on December 25, 2015. He was born in Kempner, TX, to Johnie and Susie Taylor Bartts.

He was a graduate of Lampasas High School, played football at Howard Payne University and graduated from North Texas State University. He went on to become a Teacher and Coach at Lenora Kirk Hall.

Mr. Bartts served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Panama between the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

On October 5, 1963, he married Louise Hilliard in Denton, TX., and together they became members of the Lake Cities United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynda Waggoner, and son-in-law, Bruce Waggoner of Gordonville; son, Earl O'Dell Jr. of Denton; brother, Charles Bartts of Ardmore, OK.; and three grandchildren; Staci Waggoner, Kevin O'Dell, and Allen O'Dell.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Bartts, his parents, one brother, and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Lake Cities United Methodist Church in Lake Dallas. Pastors Dr. Bill La Barr and Rene' Lawson will officiate.
