Robert James Bullock was born in Portland, Oregon on September 10, 1959, and passed away on October 18, 2023, in Denton, Texas.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Diane Bullock of Roanoke, Texas, daughters, Candace Slack, and her husband, Rus of Springhill, Louisiana, and Kristen Clark and her husband, Jordan, of Roanoke, Texas, son, Brandon Peek and family Marissa of San Angelo, Texas, his mother, Janice Bullock, brothers, Ronnie Bullock of Idaho, Tommy Bullock of Tennessee, and eight beautiful grandchildren, Kainon, Andrea, McKenna, Justin, Grant, Desmond, Jocelyn, and Madilyn.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Edward Bullock.

Robert James Bullock graduated high school early and joined the Marine Corps and went straight into creating a legacy, not only for himself, but for his entire family. A legacy that we are all so honored to speak about. Bob joined the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, rank E-5, then he began his career as a Texas State Trooper, and built his way up into the proud role as a Captain of the Texas Rangers. Bob retired in 2011 from DPS after 28 years of service. He then went on to work for Pioneer Natural Resources and was promoted to Director of Security and worked for 11 years. He enjoyed working with so many wonderful people throughout his career and felt very blessed by that. He worked hard until he suffered a massive stroke.

Bob enjoyed watching sports, preferably his UT Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed making memories with a fishing pole in his hand and hunting in the fall. He ultimately found so much joy in spending time with his family, grand babies, and being called "Papa" was what he was most proud of. He enjoyed his grand babies so much and loved spending time with the., watching one of their sports games or just taking them fishing. His time spent with them was so precious.

We believe Bob will live on through all of us in everything we do. His testimony will be one that we will tell for years to come. He will continue living on through his family and all the love and beautiful memories we shared with him.
