Robert Lloyd Funston,67, of Frisco, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 12, 2014. He was born March 1,1947 to Robert Edmond and Dorthy Funston in Wichita Falls, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Funston; daughter Talitha Funston; grandson: Jacob Funston; brother, Randy Funston and wife Deana Funston of Wichita Falls. He was preceded to heaven by his dad Robert Edmond Funston and mom Dorthy Funston.

Part of our life on this earth has passed through heaven's door to be with his Lord and Savior in his glory forever more. Though our hearts are grieving, he is with the One his heart seeks and we know we will meet him again in heaven at Jesus' feet.

As a celebration of his life on earth, his family and friends will remember Robert in the following manner: Robert Lloyd Funston now has his wings, and Heaven is rejoicing as the choir loudly sings. Jesus escorted him down that last glorious mile to be in the presence of God with his famous and amazing smile. His time on earth was a blessing to more than just a few, he loved unconditionally to everyone he knew. Jesus always held the biggest place in his heart, never letting his love for Him waiver or depart. He taught us well about God's love so that one day we will be with him up above. He will sing his songs loud for all saints to hear as we wait for our time for us to be near. We thank this beautiful father known as Dad and Papa; for his patience, love and understanding no matter what. We've lost our angel on earth and he is now Heaven's gain, our love and admiration for this Godly man will forever remain.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m., November 15, 2014 at the Heritage Assembly of God Church in Wichita Falls with Rev. Melvin McAdams officiating. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, at the Zion Cemetery in Frisco, Texas.
