Robert Clyde Gentry, 88, of Argyle, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born on December 16, 1924 in Posey, Texas to Robert Gentry and Maude Johnson Gentry. He married June Elston on July 19, 1948 and was a member of the Argyle Church of Christ. He served in the Pacific Theatre in the United States Navy during WWII.



Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10:30 am at Graham-Argyle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Argyle Food Bank.



Clyde is survived by his wife, June; daughter, Elaine Palakiko and husband Kaleo; son, David W. Gentry and wife Rhonda; sister, Peggy Sullivan; brother, Bill Gentry; grandchildren, Colin, Brinni, and Maddi; great grandson, Aidyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Velma and Sug.
