Robert Franklin Hill, 60, of Aubrey, TX passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022. He was born in Andrews, TX on June 24,1961 to Robert Carl Hill and Ann Lansford Hill.
Robert graduated from Anderson High School, Austin TX, in 1979. After graduation he attended college at Texas State University, where he studied Computer Science. He then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps for 6 years. Robert served 4 years of active-duty service, of which part of his service included deployment to Beirut, Lebanon after the 1983 Beirut barracks bombings. After leaving the Marine Corps, he then pursued a career working in Information Technology as a network architect. He married Laurie Ann Pearce on April 20,1991, in Round Rock, Texas. Robert's hobbies included history, reading, cooking, and military strategic gaming.
Robert is survived by his wife Laurie Hill and son Robert Nathaniel Hill of Aubrey, Texas; his sister Kimberly Kieffer (Rick Kieffer) of Austin, Texas; his sister Linda Lyle (David Lyle) of Sparks, Nevada; his sister Elizabeth Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister Theresa Kearbey (Ryan Kearbey) of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by his stepmothers Lynne Loomis of Las Vegas, Nevada and Sue Hill of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Robert Carl Hill, his mother Ann Lee Weathersby, and his brother Jason Augustus Loomis Hill.
The family will be holding a memorial service at the Dallas-Fort Worth VA National Cemetery in October of 2022.
In memory of Robert, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Krum Christian Center Assembly of God Church's Benevolence Fund, the Marine Corp Scholarship Foundation, or the Vietnam Veterans of America, Post 920, Denton, Texas.
