Robert William Jaegerman, Jr., 89, of Denton passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 in Denton. He was born May 23, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to Robert William and Lillian Costello Jaegerman. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Eldora Cano in 1944 and had three sons, Robert III, George and Jon David. Following the Navy, he joined Delta Airlines in Atlanta, GA. With the ending of his marriage, Bob and his sons moved to New York where Bob opened Delta Reservations office in 1955. He married Jane Whitney, his wife of 57 years, in 1958. Bob's airline career ended in 1976 when he joined the Boeing Co. in Seattle. He was in customer support to Iraqi Airways from 1974 to 1975, living in Baghdad. He also supported Ethiopian Airlines from 1984 to 1985, living in Addis Ababa. Bob retired from Boeing in 1990.
Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2015 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be March 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin, NY.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jane Jaegerman of Denton; sons, Robert W. Jaegerman III and George R. Jaegerman; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Jon David.
