Robert Limas, 84, of Denton, TX passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-Denton. He was born December 6, 1937, in McAllen, Texas to Doroteo Limas and Carlota Limas Villareal. He graduated from McAllen High School and served in the U.S. National Guard 1954-1955.

He married Ruth Esther Velasquez on June 23, 1957, in Elko, Nevada. He was a member of the Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue in Dallas, TX. He was a retired minister of 42 years and the Transportation Industry.

Funeral services will be head on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Iglesia Sobre la Roca Asamblea de Dios, located at 15040 US Hwy 380 West, Krum, TX 76249. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, TX.

Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Limas of Denton, 3 daughters, Rachel Limas, Rivkah Leyba (Terry), Rita Gomez (Neptaly) all of Denton, 2 sisters, Alicia Vela of McAllen and Amparo Vela ( Adalberto) of Euless, 2 brothers, Doroteo Limas of Seguin, TX, and Jose Luis Limas of Grand Junction, CO, 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rebecca Limas (1960), and granddaughter  Nathalie T. Gomez (2020).

Pallbearers will be, Israel Gomez, Josiah Leyba, Isaac Cummings, Mario Velasquez, William Brown, and Noah Carrillo.
