Robert Wayne McMillen, 72, of Celina, TX passed away January 17, 2013 at his home, following a long battle with cancer. Bob was born August 25, 1940 in Fort Worth, TX to Willis Herman McMillen and Lillie Juran McMillen. He graduated from North Side High School and Arlington State College (University of Texas at Arlington) with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Bob enjoyed a career in international mining sales and more recently in health and life insurance sales.



He loved playing guitar, fishing, hunting, and Texas high school sports, and was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a loyal friend.



Survivors include his wife JoAnn; daughter Laurie and her husband Colonel Matthew Russell of Fort Bragg, NC; daughter Dee McMillen and her husband Tim Harrison of New York City; sister Helen Robinette of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.



A Requiem Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at The Church of Saint David of Wales, 623 Ector St., Denton, TX, with The Rev. Canon H.W. Herrmann, SSC, Rector, celebrant.
