Robert G. Mullendore was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 3, 1936 and passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021 in Denton Texas.

Robert Grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of J.B. and Alma Mullendore. He had one sister, Nanci. He graduated from Will Rodgers High School in 1954 and went on to graduate from The University of Oklahoma in 1958 with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. Soon after college graduation, he joined the Oklahoma Air National Guard where he served as the Superintendent of the 138th Medical Group and worked as a Pharmacist in the families two pharmacies. In 1964 he graduated from Undergraduate Pilot Training in the United States Air Force. During his years flying in the Air National Guard, he flew airlift missions in the beginning and for the majority of his career flew aerial refueling missions. In 1966 Robert was hired by American Airlines. Flying for American and the Air National Guard was one of the loves of his life. He retired from the Air National Guard after 22 years of service and American Airlines after 30 years.

Robert married the love of his life, Betty S. Benner, on June 6, 1957. They had two children, Cathy and Bobby. His passions in his life were his family and his flying career. He prided himself on making sure his family was taken care of and safe. He will be missed.

He is survived by wife, Betty Mullendore; son, Bobby Mullendore; his grandchildren, Emily Mullendore, Jerrod Jenkins, Jamie Perkins, Jeff Jenkins; his sister, Nanci Williams and her husband Brad and their sons Brad and Brent.

Robert was proceeded in death by his parents J.B. and Alma Mullendore, and daughter Cathy Jenkins.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
