Robert "Bob" Richard, 91 years old passed away peacefully on April 17, 2021. Bob was born in Winchester, Virginia and graduated from V.P.I. (Virginia Tech University) in 1951.

Bob was married to Sybil Lucille Nelson for 48 years, moved to Denton in 1971, and raised 3 sons; Steve, Jeff, and Greg. Bob loved golf and introduced his sons to the sport at an early age where they enjoyed Sunday outings as a foursome. The Richard family were members of First Baptist Church in Denton for many years.

Bob had been a resident at Sunrise Assisted Living since 2018 where he was loved by the staff. He was known for his candy and peppermints. On their breaks, the staff would come to Bob's room, sit and visit with him and have a piece of candy. They loved their talks with Bob. He attended weekly bible studies at Sunrise with the other residents and was a regular participant in the activities within the community.

Bob is survived by Steve and Doris Richard, Greg and Nancy Richard, Amy and Amanda Richard, Mykaela Anderson and Allison and Luke Richard.

The family held a private funeral on April 21, 2021.
