Bob was born on March 15, 1933 in Port Angeles, WA with eyes as blue as the Mediterranean on a sunny summer day. He was surrounded by his family and wrapped in love when he passed away on June 26, 2017.

Bob graduated from Irving High School in 1950, as the school's ping pong champion. He received a business degree from Texas Wesleyan University, and went on to have a long and fulfilling career in travel. After working as a travel agent for American Express in Dallas and NYC, he and his family settled in Gahanna, OH for several years, where he continued working in the travel industry. In 1975, he opened D/FW Travel Service in Bedford, TX. Over the next three decades, Bob shared his love of travel and adventure with his many clients and family.

Bob's passions were music, traveling the world, eating delicious food and celebrating any occasion, big or small.

Above all, his greatest loves were his wife, Mary, his children, Allison, Lori and Rob and his 7 grandchildren. Bob was a beloved friend, father, and grandfather. He was known as a kind, funny, humble person who was generous beyond measure. His sense of humor was one of his many endearing qualities, and was loved by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 30 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church 7341 Glenview Dr. North Richland Hills, TX 76180. The visitation will be at 9 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
