Roberta Jean Linder, 79, of Denton passed away on June 17, 2016. She was born March 26, 1937 to Mary Katherine Hart and Francis Harrison in Dallas, TX . Jean was raised by her step-father Bruce Redman. She married Orbie Ray Linder on August 20, 1954 in Colorado City, TX.

Jean was a registered nurse most of her life. She worked at Denton Osteopathic Hospital for 18 years, Flow Hospital and Westgate Hospital. She retired as the school nurse from Slidell I.S.D. She was a member of the Daughter of the Republic of Texas.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Jana Giraud and husband Ted of Houston, son, Les Linder and wife Anita of Decatur, one brother, Justin Redman and wife Penny of Cleburne, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation Monday June 20, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Graveside service Tuesday, 10:00 A.M, June 21, 2016 at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, Jean has requested that donations be made in her honor to Krum Public Library and or Slidell I.S.D.
