Roberta (Bobbie) Dean Tilton, a long-time resident of Waco, Texas, passed away in Denton, at the age of 86, on December 19, 2023.  She was born Roberta Claire Dean, on September 11, 1937, in New Orleans, and was the only child of Robert Edward Lee Dean and Claire Mary Augustine Gusman.  After graduating from high school as valedictorian, she attended the University of Alabama and Tulane University.  In 1960, she married Eugene Benjamin Tilton.

Bobbie worked nearly 30 years as a realtor in Waco for Jim Stewart Realtors and achieved the Diamond Circle Club award.  More importantly, Bobbie made life-long friendships there.  She loved all things New York and was a big-time jazz fan.  Her famous Cajun Red Beans and Rice recipe was featured in the Waco Tribune-Herald.  Bobbie was beloved by her family and close-knit community.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene (d. 2000) and son Terry (d. 2005).  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Abigail and Kurt, her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Alice, and her much-loved grandchildren: Emily, Elizabeth, Marijka, Leif, Kayla and Amanda.

A private memorial will be held in Salado, Texas.
