IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robin Rene'
Hasserd
March 25, 1958 – April 23, 2017
Robin Rene' Hasserd, 59, of Sanger, Texas passed away on Sunday April 23, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on March 25, 1958 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Bob and Fay Rene (Brand) Hogg.
Robin attended Texas City High School where she was very active in the FFA and fulfilled her love for animals. She was working at Bradshaw's Florist in Texas City when she met her husband Ricky; she was helping him pick out flowers for a date. They were married in April of 1980 in Texas City, TX. Robin attended the University of Houston and gave birth to her daughter, Reagan, shortly before graduating with a B.A. in Education in 1983. They moved to Dallas, TX in 1985 where she worked as a teacher at Dallas ISD. She gave birth to her son, Rhett in October of 1986. They moved to Lake Dallas in 1988, where Robin spent the majority of her teaching career enlightening children at Lake Dallas Primary. All of her co-workers would agree that Robin was passionate about her job and always found a way to make learning fun. She made so many great friendships there and in the community. She enjoyed spending days on the lake with her family and friends and would jump at the opportunity to teach anyone how to water ski. In 2006, Robin and Ricky moved to New Braunfels, TX where she continued her love of teaching, enjoyed spending time on the Guadalupe River and finally got her first horse, Ryder. In October 2015, they moved back to North Texas to a beautiful home in Sanger, TX.
Anyone who met Robin was impacted by her beautiful smile and unique, take charge attitude. She loved attending parties and planning parties for herself and others, all of which had themes and decorations to suit. Of all the parties she hosted, her most favorite accomplishment was her Gone with the Wind Ball she held at her home in 2016. Robin would always say she knew she had great friends and was so blessed. She was the best at making everyone feel included and welcome both in her home and in her life. Her motherly traits reached far beyond her own two kids as she touched so many youthful lives. To say that Robin lived life to the fullest would be an understatement; she took life by the reins and made her journey the most fun it could be.
Robin is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ricky Hasserd, parents, Bob and Fay Hogg, daughter, Reagan Glenn and husband, Jason, son, Rhett Hasserd and wife Allison, two granddaughters, Avery Glenn, Skylar Glenn, and one grandson, Jacob Glenn, brother, Scott Hogg and wife Marte, nephews, Jason Hogg and wife Shannon, Matt Hogg and wife Courtney and niece, Charlotte Hogg.
She is preceded in death by grandparents Morgan and Ora Hogg of El Dorado, Arkansas and Lurie and Dollie Brand of Vivan, Lousiana
