Obituary

Rodney Dale Clinton, 62, of Providence Village passed from this life into heaven on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 25, 1956 to Raymond and Vianie (Yelton) Clinton in McKinney, Texas early on a Sunday morning. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Rodney grew up with his parents and two sisters on a farm/ranch near Argyle. He cherished his farming and ranching roots. Perhaps this background led him to his primary life work of Landscape Contractor. Rodney's hobbies over time included hot air ballooning, boating, hunting, camping, campfire talks, and driving (and sometimes wrecking) ATV's. From a very young age he always had room and love for pets from hamsters, guinea pigs, jack rabbits, cats and various dogs.

Rodney's keen sense of humor and sharp wit are fondly remembered by family and friends. If he liked you, he was sure to tease you.

Rodney is survived by partner Barbara Kirk, daughter Karen Delaney and husband Lloyd, sons Cody Clinton and wife Amy, Michael Clinton and fiancé Kirby Morgan, Spenser Barefield and wife Sonja, Cooper Barefield and partner Matt Collier, and his sisters Raeanna Thomasson and husband Gus and Raedean Bolton and husband Douglas.

Rodney was blessed with seven grandchildren: Kelly, Colt and Raya Delaney, Brenda, Carly and Raymond Clinton, and Caden Barefield.  He is also survived by three nieces: Erin Clabiorne, Lillian Dennis and husband Chris and Clinessa Burch and husband Aaron and one nephew: Hugh Bolton and wife Angela. He is also survived by three grandnieces: Olivia and Simone Clabiorne and Kathleen Bolton as well as two grandnephews: Cole Bolton and Raylan Dennis. Rodney also leaves behind numerous cherished friends.
