Rodney Alan Meier of Corinth, TX passed away Monday August 17, 2015 at the age of 60. He was born February 11, 1955 in DuBois, PA to Donald and Betty Schrum Meier.

Rod had 2 brothers and 1 sister, Deborah Meier Call and husband Ben of Clarion, PA; brothers, Donald L. Meier II of Butler, PA, Kevin D. Meier and wife Judy of North Kingsville, OH. Rod was a proud U.S Air Force veteran and continued his service after his enlistment ended supporting many veterans groups and causes.

Rod married the love of his life Lisa Naples on July 12, 1998 in Downers Grove, IL. They spent 17 amazing years living out their dreams, one of which was riding their motorcycles together.

He was a member of the Lemont Lions Club for years. He was president, board member, and one heck of a tail-twister. Rod was awarded "Rookie of the Year", "Lion of the Year", "The Foundation Fellow", and the "Melvin Jones Fellow" awards.

In 2014, Rod and Lisa decided to make the move to Corinth, Texas where Rod joined the American Eagle Harley Davidson Hog Chapter. Rod was always the life of the party and had a great time with great people no matter what. All he wanted to do was ride. What ever he was doing, Rod was usually seen with a cigar in one hand and a glass of jack in the other.

Rod ("Pup") was the biggest supporter and #1 fan of his children; Michaela Meier Krause and husband Ray of Crystal Lake, IL, Nicole Meier Quinton and husband Josh of Shirley, IL, Patrick Meier of Matthews, NC, Kristina Meier Peterson and husband Brian of Romeoville, IL, Sara Toth and Kayla Toth, both of Crest Hill, IL.

Rod was also a very proud Grampa to his 6 Grandchildren; Emma, Noah, Abigail, Claire, Michael, Charleigh and 3 more on the way.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2025 West University, Denton, TX.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 2PM – 6PM at the Lemont VFW, 15780 New Ave, Lemont, IL. All Lions, friends and family are welcome.
