Obituary

Roger Dale Clampitt, 76 of Houston, formerly of Denton, passed away on April 23, 2018 at his home.  He was born September 29, 1941 in Sanger to Marshall and Opal Christian Clampitt.  He was a graduate of Denton High School and the now University of North Texas.  Roger served in the US Army in Vietnam.  He was employed by the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years.

Roger was known as "Cotton" by his family.  He is survived by a brother, Les Clampitt, two sisters, Betty Lou Nichols and Brenda Joyce Clampitt, numerous nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth Clampitt and sisters, Nita DeBerry and Martha Kay Clampitt, nephew J. T. Clampitt and niece Phyllis Ann Clampitt.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors for visitation Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 1:30 - 2:00 P.M.with services the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2:00 P.M., burial will follow at the Valley View Cemetery.
